Join Summerhayes Juniors Angling Club and Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership (SASP) for our School Holiday Angling Coaching Programme, held at the stunning Walrow Ponds in Highbridge. 

This exciting programme gives children the chance to learn how to fish in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Guided by qualified Level 2 Angling Coaches, juniors will explore everything from setting up tackle and feeding techniques to fish welfare and water safety. 

Walrow’s well-stocked Silvers Lake offers a great mix of roach, rudd, skimmers, perch, and small carp, making it the perfect venue for young anglers to learn and gain confidence. Whether it’s your child’s first time fishing or they already love the sport, our sessions are designed to be inclusive, engaging, and rewarding. 

Run as part of SASP’s school-holiday activities, this programme supports physical wellbeing, mental health, and outdoor learning — helping children connect with nature while developing patience, focus, and teamwork.
