Junior Fishing Coaching at Avalon Fisheries, Somerset

Join Summerhayes Juniors for a relaxed and confidence-building junior angling coaching session at Avalon Fisheries, one of Somerset’s most picturesque and beginner-friendly fishing venues.

This session is ideal for juniors, families, and first-time anglers who want to learn coarse fishing the right way — with plenty of encouragement, expert guidance, and time to enjoy being by the water. Our friendly coaching team works closely with each young angler, helping them feel comfortable, capable, and excited about fishing.

During the session, juniors will learn core angling skills including whip and pole fishing, feeding correctly, striking bites, and handling fish safely and respectfully. Avalon’s well-stocked lakes provide consistent sport, with species such as carp, F1s, tench, roach, rudd, and skimmers offering plenty of chances to practise technique and build confidence.

This coaching day is delivered in support of the Angling Trust Get Fishing initiative, helping inspire the next generation to enjoy angling in a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment. All tackle and bait are provided, so families can simply turn up and enjoy the experience together.
