Experience junior angling coaching at Summerhayes Fisheries, a trusted and well-run coarse fishing venue in the heart of Somerset. Our coaching sessions are designed to introduce young anglers and families to fishing in a relaxed, welcoming setting where learning comes first and confidence grows naturally.
Taking place on Summerhayes’ carefully managed lakes near Bridgwater, each session covers the foundations of coarse fishing. Juniors are guided through practical skills such as pole and whip fishing, feeding accurately, handling tackle correctly, and looking after fish with care and respect. With a wide range of species on offer – from silvers to carp – every session brings variety, excitement, and plenty of opportunities to learn something new.
All coaching is delivered by fully qualified Level 2 Angling Coaches and is proudly supported by the Angling Trust Get Fishing initiative. This ensures every session is safe, inclusive, and focused on helping new anglers feel comfortable and capable by the water’s edge. Whether it’s your very first time fishing or you’re aiming to improve your skills and catch more consistently, Summerhayes provides the ideal place to do it.
